Quality boreholes are born from the way they are constructed. Skylake boreholes uses high quality PVC casings or steel casings as borehole lining. Casing provides structural support against caving and seals off undesirable groundwater such as saline water and prevents the borehole from collapsing or silting. Borehole development includes flushing after the drilling has been done as well as installing gravel pack.Gravel pack is very important in stabilising the aquifer, preventing the collapse of the formation would otherwise lead to low abstraction volumes and minimising sand pumping which would damage the pump.
