Infrastructure as a catalyst for change.
In the heart of Gokwe South District, the traditional role of a police station is being redefined. The commissioning of a US$4,000 solar-powered borehole at Manoti Police Station marks the evolution of public service, where security infrastructure now doubles as a center for community nutrition and commercial agricultural growth.

Strategic Development: Minister Owen Ncube reinforces the "Nyika Inovakwa Nevene Vayo" mantra in Gokwe.

Minister of State for Midlands Provincial Affairs and Devolution, Cde Owen Ncube, officially handed over the project this week, emphasizing that the Second Republic's inclusive development strategy is specifically designed to reach "underserved communities" that were previously left behind in the national developmental agenda.

Editorial Verdict

Infrastructure as a Moral Imperative

A Model for Public Institutions

The Manoti project proves that public safety and development are two sides of the same coin. When a police station has reliable water, it isn't just a place for law enforcement; it becomes a sanctuary and a service hub. The integration of VBUs shows a forward-thinking approach that treats every public dollar as an investment in both safety and wealth creation.

Resilience Against Detractors

Minister Ncube's mention of the "unanimous endorsement" of Constitutional Amendment Bill No. 3 amidst infrastructure progress sends a clear message: Development is the Government's best defense against criticism. By addressing the fundamental needs of the people—water, energy, and mobility—the Second Republic is solidifying its mandate through visible, tangible results.
